Resurfacing work already completed on Warwick Road

Work has started on the latest round of roadworks on Warwick Road in Carlisle.

Resurfacing works have now started on Warwick Road between Eastern Way and Thirlwell Gardens and are expected to be completed by March 28.

The works will be carried out in three phases starting at Thirlwell Gardens and working eastwards towards Eastern Way.

In order to complete the works as quickly as possible and to minimise the disruption, the works will be carried out in two phases every day:

  • Daytime – 9.30am – 3pm – temporary traffic signals
  • Nightime – 7pm – 1am – temporary traffic signals

This will enable Cumbria County Council to carry out the noisier work elements through the day in a further effort to minimise disruption to affected residents.

Victoria Road will be closed at its junction with Warwick Road during phase two of the works, which are set to take place on March 22 and March 23 and will only be enforced during the working hours above.

Anyone with any concerns is asked to visit www.cumbria.gov.uk or call the Highways Hotline on 0300 303 2992.
