It’s as you were at the top of the National Conference Premier Division with the three unbeaten teams still level.
For as leaders Wath Brow were finishing all square with third-placed Thatto Heath, the team in second West Hull were surprisingly held by York Acorn.
So there’s no change in the order with the three rivals still unbeaten and on five points each, still separated by the same points differential.
Hornets lead the way but had to battle to the end in a tense, very tight contest at Thatto Heath.
The Cumbrians had gone in front with two tries on 20 and 24 minutes from wingers Morgan McCourt and Sam Curwen.
The Crusaders came back level with two tries before the break from Dave Pike.
Four tries, but no goals, meant it was 8-8 at half-time and that’s the way it stayed until the end with defences earning all the medals for both sides.
West Hull were held 10-10 at York Acorn who had gone into the game without a win and bottom of the Premier Division. But a penalty four minutes from the end completed a fine recovery after they had been 10-0 down at half-time.
Much of their performance at Rochdale Mayfield was more than satisfactory for Egremont.
But two converted tries in the last five minutes meant Egremont’s 26-24 lead turned into a 36-26 defeat.
They had played particularly well in the first-half to establish a 20-12 lead with tries from Sam Appleby, Fraser McNee, Aaron Turnbull and Christian Tyson.
Mayfield were in front within five minutes of the re-start before Kieran Glenn went over and Tyson’s third goal put them back in front.
They couldn’t see it through, however, and Mayfield’s late surge earned them a second win of the season.
Myton Warriors had looked for a postponement against Kells as they were also contesting the semi-final of the BARLA National Cup.
But the National Conference Division One fixture took preference so they fielded their second team against the Cumbrian.
They were no match for Kells who stormed to an 82-6 victory after leading 46-6 at half-time.
They finished with 14 tries from ten different players, and all but one were converted by Ross Gainford.
Finding their way over the Myton try line were Reece O’Neil (3), Jake Parker (2), Jack Ainley (2), Dominic Wear, Ryan Watson, William Ennis, James Ennis, Ryan Starkie, Jordan Burns and Gainford.
It was a miserable day all round for Myton as their first team was beaten 56-10 in the National Cup semi-final by Waterhead Warriors.
In Division Two Barrow Island registered their second win when they travelled to Bradford Dudley Hill and came home with a 24-10 win.
They were 14-10 up approaching the closing stages when late tries from Max Moore and ex-Workington Town player Blain Marwood cemented the win.
Moore was completing his hat-trick after scoring twice earlier while Adam Jackson finished with four goals.
Seaton Rangers fine start to life in the National Conference Division Three ended at East Leeds where they crashed 56-6 to the table leaders.
They had been all square midway through the first half with a Jordan O’Leary try, converted by Dom Smallwood, putting them on terms.
But by the interval it had changed dramatically with the hosts sitting on a 24-6 lead – and it went downhill from there.
Seaton acknowledged the “harsh lesson at the hands of a very good side” but were delighted to blood 16-year-old Charlie Ackerley off the bench for his NCL debut.
Hensingham were delighted to register their first Division Three win of the season, coming out on top 30-18 at Waterhead Warriors.
Waterhead had also put out a team in the BARLA National Cup semi-final and were successful against Myton Warriors.
For the Conference clash, though, they found themselves 26-6 behind five minutes into the second-half.
Hensingham had established the commanding lead with tries from Scott Egan (2), Jake Rothery, Nick Maudling and Josh Hiller. These were augmented by Hillier’s three goals.
The Warriors threatened a come-back when they closed to 26-18 but a Luke Charlton try four minutes from time saw Hensingham nicely over the finishing line.
Like Hensingham there was a first League win of the season for Millom, beating Oldham St Anne’s 28-16 at home.
It was a good come-back for Millom who had trailed 16-12 at half-time.
Tyler Lancaster and Jack Proctor had scored first-half tries, converted by Jonty Peters.
In the surge to victory there were tries from Kyle Evans, Rio McQuiston and Jordan Moyes, plus two more Peters’ goals.
