Salterbeck and Maryport Athletic will be the west’s representatives in the semi-finals of the Sunday County Cup.

Salterbeck had recently beaten Northside in a League fixture and they repeated the trick in the County Cup.

Maryport Athletic had a little more to spare as they beat Thornhill from the Egremont Sunday League by 3-1, with Ethan Weir (2) and Cameron Harker providing the goals.

They will join Inter Pirelli and Scotby in the semi-final as they got through the east section at the week-end. Inter Pirelli beat Brampton 5-0 while Scotby won 6-2 at Crusaders.

In the Workington and District Premier League Blue Bell beat Dearham in a seven goal thriller.

Carl Denver (3) and Calvin Feeney scored the Blue Bell goals with Jack Brown (2) and Lewis Manchester on the mark for Dearham.

There was one game in the Premier League Divisional Cup in which Deer Orchard were emphatic 5-1 winners over Sun Inn.

Luke Graham (3), Luke Ivison and Ryan Carruthers were the Orchard scorers with Liam Parker netting for Sun Inn.

In the Division One Divisional Cup there were good wins for Flimby Social Club and JJ’s.

Flimby Social Club beat Senhouse 5-1 as top scorer Max Litt grabbed a hat-trick and he was joined on the score-sheet by Karl Fillingham who scored a brace.

JJ’s won 6-2 against The Junction with Brad Glaister (2), Mitchell Wood, Connor Irving and Nathan Dryden sharing the goals. They were also aided by an own goal.
