Woman with hammer arrested in Kendal

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of affray and neglect of a young person in Kendal.

Police are investigating the incident, which happened at Waterside on Friday March 25 at about 7.25pm. 

It involved a woman reportedly in possession of a hammer. A short time later the woman was identified and arrested.

The woman from Kendal was arrested on suspicion of affray and neglect of a young person to cause unnecessary suffering and has been released on police bail.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or any information which may assist in the progression of the investigation into the incident.
