Whitehaven and Hull FC have updated their plans for youth rugby league in West Cumbria.
Together they have announced an open evening on Monday, April 25, at the LEL Arena Whitehaven, specifically targeted at males and females in year 11.
The planned Centre of Excellence College in West Cumbria is looking to recruit male and female rugby league players into the Hull FC development programme.
The West Cumbria Sports College aims to build on the growing relationship between Super League club Hull, and Championship club Whitehaven.
This was most recently evidenced by Hull loaning injury-hit Haven three talented young players Jacob Hookem, Marcus Walker and Davy Litten.
In fact, Litten scored on his debut in the hard-fought Whitehaven-Workington derby.

The planned recruitment is aimed at year 11 students looking to develop their rugby skills and participate in an elite rugby league training programme, and gain qualifications to progress in higher education.
Lee Crooks, talent ID and development manager at Hull FC, and a former Great Britain and England international, is heavily involved in the scheme.
He said: “We are really pushing forward with our plans to develop youth rugby league players, and give them a chance to develop the skills of the game as well as gaining an education which will gain them enough UCAS points to get students to university through our West Cumbria Sports College programme, which is part of Hull FC Centre of Excellence programme.”
West Cumbria Sports College open evening, LEL Arena, Monday, April 25, is from 6 to 7.30pm.
