Northside have completed the quadruple in the Workington and District Sunday League.
The fourth trophy was wrapped up at the weekend when they beat Deer Orchard in the final of the Premier Division’s Divisional Cup at Flimby.
But whereas they had easily beat the Cockermouth side in mid-week, 5-1 to lift the League Cup, this was very different.
There were only seconds to go when Northside got the winner and the 2-1 victory sparked celebrations long into the following morning.
League secretary Ron Caffrey said: “What a good advert for local football this final was. We had a lot of people watching, there was some good football from both teams and marvellous saves from the two goalkeepers.
“To top it all off Northside scored the winner with just seconds to go and that gave them the quadruple, with all the cups won in the last two weeks.
“Over the years there have been some good sides in the Workington Sunday League but it will be a long tome since any team took four Cups in a season.”
Jaden Scott and Jamie Bramley scored the Northside goals with Ben Wright on target for the Orchard.
There were also a couple of games in Division with title-chasing Sun Athletic beating Senhouse 3-0 with goals from Mark Campbell (2) and Louie Elliot and JJ’s and Highfield finishing all square at 1-1.
Ryan O’Pray scored for JJ’s with Chris Powell responding for Highfield.
