
Craig Horseman won the Bothel-Keswick time trial organised by Velo Club Cumbria.
Horseman, from Carlisle, rides for Giant Kendal – Sidas UK and covered the hilly 17-mile course in 39 minutes and 52 seconds at an average speed of 25.59mph.
He was 50 seconds clear of David Gleave in second place while Brian Payton continued his consistent form with 3rd place in a time of 42:33.
The fastest road bike rider was John Beck with a time of 48:20.
VCC’s club time trials continue on Tuesday, June 7, with the Keswick 30. The sign on is from 6pm on the old road adjacent to the A66 at Braithwaite.
