Volunteers of a Cumbrian rescue team had a busy 24 hours.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue team was called out alongside Maryport’s Coastguard to four separate incidents to help people in distress.
Both teams were tasked to a rope rescue, following reports of a person having fallen from the cliff path and part way down the cliff at St Bees.
Whitehaven’s Rescue team confirmed that the person was able to self recover and was safe and well in the care of the ambulance service.
Assets were redeployed back to Workington shortly after.
The teams were also tasked to three other incidents in the Workington area, including a broken down vessel off Workington that was safely recovered by Workington Lifeboats.
The Whitehaven Coastguard attended to give safety advice and collect relevant information.
The teams also assisted Cumbria police at the other two incidents that took place in the Workington area
