Furness missed out on making progress in the National Club Trophy competition when they lost to Northern in the regional final.
The south Cumbrians were in a very good position after Northern had opted to bat first and appeared to be in trouble at 25-4 from 4.5 overs.
But a stand of 116 between the Cole brothers – Stephen (53) and James (54) – changed the course of the game and revived the visitors.
Although both went within the space of two runs, Northern still had enough momentum to reach 193-9 at the end of their 40 overs.
Josh Shaw, who had taken three of those first four early wickets finished with 5-37 off his eight overs while Wyll Stanway took 3-36 from his eight.
Furness were going along steadily at 74-3 from 21.3 overs looking to accelerate but collapsed in disappointing fashion to 118 all out in 37.3 overs.
Lewis Gribbin (30) and Liam Curwen (25) briefly gave Furness some hope but none of the last six batsmen got more than two.
Thomas Sephton was the most successful Northern bowler as he took 4-22.
