Fire crews were called after a person fell down a steep slope in Windermere.
The crews from Kendal, Windermere and Ambleside were called at around 6.15pm to Ambleside Road to help police and the North West Ambulance Service in the rescue effort.
Crews used working at height equipment to rescue the casualty and were at scene for just under an hour.
