Former Workington Comets fans will have a field day at the British Final next month.

No less than five ex-Comets will be competing in the Championship showdown – two of them former winners!

The list of competing riders for the Sports Insure British Final has now been confirmed with the meeting taking place at the National Speedway Stadium on Monday, August 1.

Sheffield star Adam Ellis defends the title he won last season, and there are five other previous winners in the line-up – Scott Nicholls, Chris Harris, Danny King and the two former Workington riders Craig Cook and Charles Wright.

Double runner-up and another former ex-Comets favourite Dan Bewley is also included.

Completing the interest for the Workington contingent who will be following the action closely live or on line are Richard Lawson and Kyle Howarth.

The highest-placed non-GP rider will receive a Wild Card for the British Grand Prix.

Linr-up (Not in riding order): Dan Bewley, Adam Ellis, Chris Harris, Danny King, Richard Lawson, Steve Worrall, Craig Cook, Kyle Howarth, Charles Wright, Richie Worrall, Lewis Kerr, Scott Nicholls, Paul Starke, Ben Barker, Leon Flint, Tom Brennan. Reserves: Danyon Hume, Connor Mountain.
