Firefighters were called to a home in Eden in the early hours after a carbon monoxide alarm activated.
Two fire engines attended the incident at North Stainmore at around 12.50am.
The crews used a CO2 monitor and isolated suspected appliances. The property was ventilated. Crews were detained for an hour and 15 minutes.
