Holker Street has carried a variety of sponsor names over recent years – and it’s got a new one for the 2022/23 season.

Last year it was Dunes Hotel and before that was the Progressions Solicitors stadium and the Furness Building Society stadium.

Now ahead of the big kick-off the club has announced that it has agreed a significant sponsorship deal which sees Holker Street become the SO Legal Stadium.

Established in 2016, SO Legal is a law firm providing specialist legal services, including commercial property, corporate law, litigation and dispute resolution, private client, and residential property conveyancing.

The company has offices in London, Brighton, Eastbourne, Hastings and Uckfield, serving a nationwide client base of SMEs, retail and restaurant chains, property agents, developers, and private individuals.

After six years of growth in the South East, the firm is set to open its first office in the North West in Ulverston.

Bluebirds chairman Paul Hornby said: “The partnership is an extremely exciting one where we can mutually benefit each other and the supporters with collaborations and offers which we’ll be revealing shortly.

“SO Legal are looking forward to getting to know the Barrow community and I genuinely believe we’ve found a long-term partner who can add significant value to our town and club.

“As such, this is so much more than just a sponsorship deal for the club. The owners of SO Legal are football people and have a genuine knowledge of the game and passion for sport.”

SO Legal’s co-founder and managing director Hamed Ovaisi said the deal was great for the law firm.

He said: “I watched Barrow a few times last season, having invested in the local area and I absolutely loved the atmosphere and fans.

“When we discovered the opportunity to become the main stadium sponsor was available, we just had to be a part of it. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the SO Legal Stadium during the new season.”
