Lorton Hound Show staged the latest HTA fixture and although only four seniors contested the first trail, entries were better after that.
In the seniors all four made good and steady progress to get round with Sophie Steel’s Miterdale Dusk winning by half a dozen yards from Mark Bryden and Linda Neale’s Eagle Star, followed by Foxparke Jiggley Puff and Martha.
There was a good, competitive field of 19 for the puppy trail and it was Brian and Joy Lister’s Lady Million who came through the gate in the lead and crossed the line well in front of James McClelland’s Huntsman’s Rascal.

The open maidens had the same number of runners and it was Kinniside Mick who came on the finish with a nice lead, but was holding on at the line as Foxparke Shackalackaboomboom finished with a rattle for second ahead of Mike Watson’s Persian Gold.
The 13 open restricted hounds struggled going out and five got away from the main pack. It was course specialist Blue Diamond that came in front for Erin and Brian Davidson from Frizington.

Miterdale Honesty and Miterdale Favour finished second and third for the Steel family of Low Place.
