The A66 is partially blocked in both directions following a collision near Center Parcs.
Cumbria police said the collision happened near the turn-off for the holiday complex.
There is congestion to Kemplay Bank roundabout and also back to the Temple Sowerby turn-off.
All lanes have been reopened but there is still queueing traffic and congestion on the M6.
