Whitehaven could be playing host to a billionaire’s family this week as this £16 million yacht has been spotted in the harbour.
Believed to have belonged to a late American billionaire and now owned by his family, it arrived in Whitehaven this morning.
The 139ft yacht, registered in the Cayman Islands, sailed from Bristol.
Built in 1983, it can accommodate 12 guests and has nine crew. Its running costs are believed to be up to £1.6 million a month.
