Man arrested after vehicles broken into in Barrow car park

These elephant doorknobs have been recovered by police during their investigation into thefts from vehicles in Barrow

A man has been arrested in connection with thefts from vehicles in a Barrow car park.

It was reported a man was trying door handles and boots at the large car park at the rear of Cameron Street, at about 8am on Friday.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released under investigation.

Officers are trying to identify the owners of the items located.

Contact police on 101 quoting reference 31 of 29th July 2022 if you were parked at the rear of Cameron Street or on St Patrick’s Road, on Friday morning and wish to report any items stolen from within your vehicle.
