A 32 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap, false imprisonment and attempted rape in connection with an attack in Carlisle.
Cumbria police is investigating the incident in the Denton Holme area, which happened on Monday evening.
The man, who is from the Blackburn area, is currently in police custody.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the incident – which happened in a field near to the bay in Denton Holme – to come forward, if they are yet to do so.
