A campsite fire was left alight in a Lake District wood.
Firefighters from Keswick were called to Bassenthwaite yesterday afternoon to tackle the blaze, which had taken hold at the base of a tree.
Keswick Fire Station said: “The fire is deep seated and has taken a large amount of water to extinguish.”
