Cleator Moor Celtic will be looking to kickstart their season at home to Daisy Hill.
New manager Brian Dawson has overseen defeats in the first two matches as his new-look squad takes time to gel.
Since the last defeat – 4-2 at home to Euxton Villa – 10 days ago Dawson’s men have been putting in some good work on the training field.
Dawson said: “We will be missing Callum Birdsall now for three games after his sending off in the last game and this is a big blow.
“We have Leon Dmytrowski seeing a physio today and are hopeful he will be able to make it.
“But apart from a few long-term injuries we are slowly but surely starting to get lads back. They have trained well, are upbeat and everyone is looking forward to getting that first win to kick-start the season.
“In terms of Daisy Hill we’re expecting another tough game against a side who have recruited well during the summer and have started well.”
The Westhoughton side from Greater Manchester won their first two games, including a 4-3 success against Holker Old Boys, before losing 4-0 on Wednesday at Pilkington.
Like Celtic, county neighbours Holker Old Boys are hoping to make it third time lucky after two opening defeats. In fact they lost last Saturday 3-2 to Daisy Hill and will be hoping to get their season moving when they host Garstang tomorrow even though the visitors have started with three straight wins.
