Three minutes before the break some slick handling from Barrow released Shane Toal and he went in at the corner for an unconverted try.
It was 18-6 at the break but within three minutes Barrow were in again as Hakim Miloudi found space and dived over in the corner. Shaw converted.
Barrow had made a cracking start to the second-half and on 51 minutes they were in again with Shaw collecting a kick and diving over in at the corner for an unconverted try.
Although Batley claimed a second try by Kieran Buchanan, converted by Gilmore that was as close as they got.
