Fire crews were called out to a car on fire after a serious crash in Burgh-by-Sands this morning..
Two fire engines attended the collision on the road from Drumburgh to Monkhill at 1.23am and crews were detained for approximately thirty minutes.
Firefighters used one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Two casualties were treated by the fire service and north west ambulance service.
