Workington will be without Ekow Coker for tonight’s NPL West game at Prescot Cables.
The former Macclesfield and Glossop centre-back, who made his Reds debut on Saturday, is on trial with a senior club in Scotland.
Reds manager Danny Grainger said: “We knew this when we signed Ekow that we wouldn’t have him for the mid-week game.
“Depending on how his trial goes we will know about future fixtures for us.”
Grainger’s selection for the opening 1-0 defeat had been affected by injuries with Ben Hughes, Sam Smith, Matty Clark and Greg McCarragher among senior players missing out.
New midfielder Bobby Carroll also fell awkwardly on his shoulder early on against Mossley and eventually had to be replaced. He will be monitored ahead of the game.
Centre-half Niall Moran, 20, who joined Reds on a month’s loan from Chorley last week will be in line for his debut in defence.
Prescot opened with a 0-0 draw at 1874 Northwich and towards the end of last season drew 0-0 at home to the Reds, a result which contributed to the Cumbrians missing out on the title.
Grainger said: “We will have some lads who weren’t involved on Saturday in the squad tonight and I am looking to bounce back after that opening defeat.”
