Barrow moved up to second in League Two with an excellent 1-0 win at Wimbledon.
The only goal came in the tenth minute when Josh Gordon pounced on a fine cross from Ben Whitfield to steer home.
Barrow had to dig in, particularly during the second half, before getting over the finish line for their fifth win in six League games.
They take a break from League Two on Tuesday when they visit Fleetwood in the EFL Trophy.
Manager Pete Wild said: “It was a classic away performance because they put us under a lot of pressure, particularly in the second half.
“I thought out of possession the players were immense today and deserved the victory.
“It was great to get the early goal and it was something we had planned. We thought the say in was getting then ball in behind their back three and Ben (Whitfield) delivered that cross for Josh (Gordon) to finish off.
“A word too to our fans. Around 200 travelled all the way down and gave us great support throughout which is much appreciated by the players and the coaching staff.”
