Hensingham have taken a big step towards a West Cumbria Youth League Under-16s double.
They lead the League table on points differential from Wath Brow with one game left to play.
Then on Wednesday they defeated Egremont 38-4 to set-up a final appearance against Maryport on Sunday.

They travel to Seaton on Wednesday night for their final League game while Wath Brow face Lowca.
In the League Cup semi-final they came-up against a big, physical Egremont side who have a number of talented players but it was Hensingham’s ability to play some really sharp rugby on a wet night.

They had established an 18-4 lead by half-time and were able to add another 20 points in the second-half without conceding.
The eight tries were shared around with Adam Lancaster going over twice and the others coming from captain Jaylen Conway, Ben Pearce, Lucas Hiddleston, Danny Stables, Alfie Telford and Ethan Magee. Pearce kicked three goals.
Egremont’s try was scored by Rhys Bennett while there were excellent performances in defeat from full-back Jack Stainton, second row Kaiden Block and loose forward Lloyd Stainton.

The League table ahead of the final games is: Hensingham played 11, diff 180, points 18; Wath Brow 11, 132, 18; Maryport 11, 48, 14; Kells 12, 110, 13; Lowca 11, minus 82, 6; Egremont 10, minus 108, 4; Seaton 10, minus 280, minus 9.
The general opinion is that it’s been a very competitive season with a number of good teams.
