It’s been a disappointing weekend for the Seaton Rangers club with three defeats in important matches.
The first team lost at home to Shaw Cross Sharks in the National Conference Division three play-off semi-final.
That was followed by successive defeats for two of the club’s youth teams – the Under-12s losing to Kells in the League Cup final and the same fate befell the Under-14s in their League Cup clash with Wath Brow.
The Under-14s was a cracking contest with the two sides playing some outstanding rugby and they were locked 10-10 at half-time.

It was only in the final quarter of the game, after both defences had stood firm, that Wath Brow really began to dominate and two late tries, both converted, gave them a 22-14 victory.
The Hornets’ Hayden Atkinson, who landed two of the conversions, was a deserving winner of the man of the match award.
The Wath Brow tries were scored by Aaron Kelly, Alex Powe, Logan Fowler and Curtis McGrath. Billy Joe Towers also landed a conversion.
Seaton battled hard, until rather fading in the closing stages, and they scored tries through Jaiden Tallentire, Alfie Semple and Rhys Bold. Kieran Robinson kicked a goal.
