Police are urging two men who helped in the aftermath of a West Cumbrian collision to come forward.
A man in his 70s is fighting for his life in hospital following the incident, which happened near Maryport Golf Club on Sunday.
The man was riding a Kawasaki motorbike when he was involved in the collision with a black Ford Fiesta and red Fiat Panda at about 4pm.
The rider was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle where he remains in hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Ford, a 41-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle when alcohol above the limit. He has been released under investigation.
Officers are appealing for the two men who helped at the scene to come forward to help with their enquiries.
They would also like to speak to anyone who was using the golf course who may have witnessed the collision and anyone who was driving between Maryport and Silloth between 3.45pm and 4.15pm – in particular anyone travelling towards Maryport.
A spokesman said: “Any information even if you did not witness the collision could help assist our investigation.”
The driver of the Fiat was uninjured and the driver of the Ford sustained minor cuts.
