The West Cumbria Youth League’s Grand Finals day produced a double for the Hensingham club.
They won the Under-16s and Under-14s finals while Kells took the Under-12s.
Tightest game was the final for the oldest group on show when Hensingham edged it 20-18 against Wath Brow.
It was a particularly game effort by the young Hornets as the vast majority were at the bottom range of the age group.
They had threatened to produce a surprise as they led 14-6 at half-time.
They were very much in the contest right to the end with tries by Jackson Benn (2), Marcus Atkinson and Fletcher Anderson with a goal from Jake Greenough.

Hensingham’s extra experience served them well and they took the trophy in the end with tries from Miller Dalton (2), Luke Clements and Ethan Magee. Ben Pearce kicked two goals.
Hensingham Under-14s had it more their own way in their final against Seaton and finished winners by 42-8.
Seaton, however, showed a lot of grit and determination in hanging in against a more experienced side and were worth their tries by Charlie Harrison and Callum Irving.
The Hensingham tries were shared between Jackson Smith, Rylan Templeton, Tyce Walmsley, Ashton Quigley and Jack Carney. Smith did the kicking.

Kells have dominated the Under-12s but had to work really hard to beat Maryport 16-10 in what was a really exciting final.
Archie Robinson, Rhys Williamson and Matthew Connelly scored the Kells tries, two of which were converted by Williamson.
Maryport stayed firmly in the game with two tries by their man of the match Loghan Williams and a conversion from Liam Chilton.
