A man has been charged with murder after a 24-year-old died in a North East flat.
Police were called to a block of student accommodation on Tuesday September 27 after concerns were raised for the 24-year-old.
When officers arrived, the man was confirmed dead. A murder investigation was launched and a man has now been charged.
Aaron Ray, of Mayfield Road, Sunderland has been charged with murder and remains in custody.
The victim is yet to be formally identified but it is understood he is from Whitehaven.
