Kerry Hindson presents the Business Student of the Year Award to Koray Cetin

A talented Cumbrian business student has been celebrated by one of the county’s top accountancy firms.

Lamont Pridmore, has awarded Koray Cetin of Kirkbie Kendal School with their Business Student of the Year Award 2022 following his hard work and positive attitude towards the subject.

Described by the school as a model student since Year 10, Koray has worked diligently throughout his time at the school, including through remote learning during the pandemic.

His positive attitude combined with maturity and an inquiring mind resulted in him achieving fantastic A Level grades. Koray plans to study Economics and Finance at Lancaster University in 2023.

Lamont Pridmore’s tax director, Kerry Hindson, said: “On behalf of everyone at Lamont Pridmore I would like to congratulate Koray on his success in his Business Studies course. The teaching staff at the school all speak very highly of him and it is clear that he is very deserving of this award.”

Lamont Pridmore has sponsored the award at Kirkbie Kendal School for years, alongside several similar awards that it runs with schools across Cumbria.

Graham Lamont, chief executive at Lamont Pridmore, added: “We are very proud of our long association with Kirkbie Kendal School, and other educational institutions throughout the county. Recognising and promoting young business talent is key to the future of our region.”
