A Cumbrian man is celebrating his 20th year with German supermarket firm Aldi.
Mike Graham, who manages the supermarket chain’s Carlisle branch, started out as an assistant at its Penrith store.
He progressed to deputy manager there, before moving to his current role in Carlisle in 2011.
The firm said Mike had gone above and beyond typical store duties by training a number of his colleagues and taking part in several fundraisers for the supermarket’s chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust.
Mike said: “I’ve absolutely loved working at Aldi for the past 20 years. I have an amazing team around me who also work incredibly hard every day so I can’t thank them enough for all their support over the years!”
He added that Christmas was his favourite time of year and he loved seeing all the festive products arriving in the store.
Sandy Mitchell, regional managing director at Aldi UK said: “Colleagues like Mike are the cornerstone of our business and I thank him for his continued dedication throughout the last 20 years.”
