Attempted robbery probe after men try to steal mobile phone from walker in afternoon

A group of men tried to steal a walker’s mobile phone while he was in a Kendal park.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at at around 2.10pm on Monday.

It was reported the victim entered the park at Maudes Meadow where a large group of men aged 18 to 23 approached him and used force in order to attempt to steal his mobile phone.

One of the suspects is described as a white man, 6ft 3in and of a slim build. He has brown eyes and brown hair and was wearing a black snood and full grey tracksuit.

Officers are seeking witnesses to the incident and assistance in identifying those responsible.
