
Ellenborough Rangers have celebrated another successful season in the Cumberland ARL.
Although they just missed out on retaining their Premier League title Elbra completed a trophy double.
They ended the season in style by landing the E Lamb Amateur Cup and the Mitie Cumberland Cup.
They were only beaten to the League title on a count-back after they and Distington finished level and had won one game each.
Keenan Winter was prominent in the awards to the first team as he picked up the coveted Players’ Player of the Year and shared the coaches Player of the Year with Jordan Ostle.
Kian Dempsey was a double winner, too, as he collected the A team Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year.
Owen Hoyles was the top points scorer from 12 tries and 74 goals, and has also just been selected for the Community Lions Under-23s squad.
Not for the first time in his 13 years at the club Kevin Hoban was top try scorer – an award he has picked up many times.

- First team players’ player of the year – Keenan Winter;
- Club person of the year – Ashleigh Ward and Ryan Wilson.
