One lucky person is set to win a luxury £2.5 million Lake District home alongside £100,000 in cash in a prize draw that costs £10 to enter.
The Omaze Million Pound House Draw, which is fundraising for the Dogs Trust, is offering a five-bedroom farmhouse near Windermere set in over eight acres of land just a short drive Ambleside.
The house comes fully mortgage free with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. The winner will also receive £100,000 in cash to help them settle in and is free to choose to live in the house, rent it or sell it.
Local estate agents estimate that the property could achieve up to £3,000 a month for long-term rentals and even more for holiday letting during peak season.
The 6,000 sq ft, 18th century property has been renovated to feature all mod cons and still retain its original features. The sitting room is set on original Lakeland stone flags, with window seats offering views down the South Lakeland Valley.
An atrium style hallway leads into the hub of the home, an open plan, bespoke kitchen that sits on a Cumbrian oak floor leading onto a large dining area. The living area also boasts an open fire.
The main bedroom features triple aspect windows that provide a cascade of natural light alongside an ensuite bathroom, with twin wash basins, a freestanding tub with shower and accompanying dressing room all with a spa-like feel.
The idyllic home also boasts a standalone guest suite with vaulted ceilings and its own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living space along with ample parking, stables and a shed.
Situated in the heart of the Lakes near Windermere, the house is also surrounded by countryside and features a tree lined garden with an extended patio area built on original farmyard cobbles.
Omaze have promised that from the money raised in ticket sales a minimum donation of £100,000 will be awarded to Dogs Trust.
