Kendal Town continued their revival with an impressive 2-0 win at Northwich Victoria.
It was the Mintcakes third successive win in the North West Counties Premier League.
Finlay Lynch gave them a 1-0 lead at half-time and Brandon Croskell-Robinson grabbed the second in the 90th minute.
But really Kendal were more comfortable than a last minute second goal would suggest and manager Jimmy Marshall was delighted with the performance.
“I was proud of all of them because every single one put a shift in.
“We’ve been saying for a week or two now that we are moving in the right direction and this win confirmed that.
“It’s ok beating teams around you in the League at home but when you come to places like Northwich and win, keeping a clean sheet in the process you know things are going well.
“They have an experienced side, a good forward line who move the ball around well so to go home with all the points is an excellent effort.”
In wet, unpleasant conditions it had been fairly even until Kendal took the lead on 29 minutes.
Tom Kilifin held-up the ball well in the home box before feeding Steve Yawson.
His effort was saved by the Northwich keeper but Lynch was there to steer in the rebound.
Kendal keeper Danny Roccia had to make one excellent save at close range to keep his side ahead by the break.
Lynch could have had two more goals early in the second half but the home keeper saved one while he just took the ball too wide to finish when presented with an opportunity.
There was an almighty scramble in the Vics box when Shaun Sailor, Kilifin and Lynch were all unable to force the ball over the line.
It was substitute Croskell-Robinson who sealed the points driving home from close range in the 90th minute.
Kendal are now up to 15th in the table and on Saturday go to Charnock Richard who are three points better off.
