A demonstration of hound trailing at Carlisle Racecourse on Sunday raised £700 for the Great North Air Ambulance.
It was also a positive advertisement for the sport as Racing TV, which covered the race meeting, recorded the trail.
The video was broadcast on all of Racing TV’s media channels and since Sunday there have been over 126,000 views.
Trainer/owner Lee Wall gave an excellent commentary and 13 hounds took part, mainly from the Border Association.
Eagle Girl, the Border’s Bitch produce champion this year beat her mother Eagle Star in a tight finish with Denton Bilboa third and Fire Lass in fourth.
They had contested a shortened trail around the actual race course which included three hurdles.
The full list of competing hounds was: Eagle Girl, Eagle Love, Eagle Star, Eagle Rock, Spring Music, Insider, Showstar, Delton Balboa, High Crag, High Glen, Fire Side, Fire Belle and Fire Lass.
