Workington Reds will give their three injured players as long as possible to make the line-up for their game at Glossop.
Sam Smith, Ruben Jerome and Bobby Carroll all had to come off in a short space of time at Macclesfield on Tuesday at a crucial stage of the game.
Manager Danny Grainger is hopeful that at least two of them will make the line-up as Reds look to bounce back from the 4-1 defeat against the NPL West leaders.
“We have Charlie Birch coming back into the squad after he was unavailable on Tuesday and we will check on the injuries ahead of the game. We are giving them as long as possible.
“Glossop are a young side but a capable one and can give anyone in the League a game on their day so we will have to be at our best.
“We didn’t deserve that result at Macclesfield but it happened and now the aim is to make amends in a tough test at Glossop,” said Grainger.
Glossop are three points and five places behind the Reds who dropped to fourth after Tuesday’s defeat at Macclesfield.
Meanwhile the death was announced this week of former Reds kitman Bill Doran after a short illness aged 84.
Bill, from Workington and a former local councillor, worked under Tommy Cassidy and remained friends with the former Irish international after he had left the club.
