The winter show season started this week with Flimby HS holding their first show, a class of old cocks.

The judges were David Todhunter and Mark Grisedale who had a very good selection of old cocks to cast their eyes over.

Fanciers from Frizington, Cleator Moor, Workington, Aspatria and Carlisle were among those making journeys, which was very much appreciated by the Flimby club.

The winner received a £25 guaranteed first prize and all the entry money was shared out. There was also a special donated by the judges so a total of £154 was paid out on the night.
