Barrow face a reunion with former manager Ian Evatt later this month in the Papa John’s Trophy.

The Bluebirds, who reached the knockout stage of the competition for the first time, have been drawn away to Evatt’s Bolton Wanderers.

Barrow reached the knockout stage after coming through the group stage along with Manchester United-21s as both Carlisle United and Fleetwood were eliminated.

Victories over Carlisle United and Fleetwood Town (on penalties) were enough to see Barrow through as runners-up to Manchester United U21.

The only defeat in the Group Stage was at the hands of United and an injury time strike from Alejandro Garnacho who has gone on to shine for the first team..

Papa John’s Trophy Round of 32 fixtures are due to be played week commencing November 21.

The Northern Section of the draw is as follows:

  • Bolton Wanderers v Barrow
  • Everton U21 v Mansfield Town
  • Salford City v Bradford City
  • Port Vale v Barnsley
  • Manchester United U21 v Wolves U21
  • Grimsby Town v Accrington Stanley
  • Burton Albion v Tranmere Rovers
  • Lincoln City v Morecambe
