Police carried out stop and searches in Workington to help reduce crime in the town.
Officers carried out the operation on Friday, targeting drug supply, following reports from local people and intelligence gathered.
Seven stop and searches, three of which were positive, police said, with a total of 11 snap bags seized.
Two people who were found in possession but were not arrested.
Officers arrested and have since charged Anthony Hilland, 34, of Fountains Avenue, Workington, with possessing a controlled drug of class A. He is due to appear at North and West Cumbria Magistrates on November 28.
Chief Inspector Annette McClement said: “The operation was a success with three positive searches and one person now charged with possession offences.
“We continue to ask local residents to report any suspicious activity or anti-social behaviour to us so that we can respond and tackle any issues.
“We continue to collaborate with partner agencies to tackle not only the criminal but social issues of drug supply and demand.
“Cumbria Police will be relentless in targeting and disrupting all those involved in exploitative drug supply.”
Two of the people found with drugs have been referred onto the Pathways programme – which offers eligible offenders the chance to have charges and cautions deferred on some lower-level offences that are deemed appropriate.
They must abide by a number of strict conditions, such as taking part in a rehabilitation programme, providing possible compensation to victims or being prevented from going to certain places.
