Helen Skelton has hinted at what her next Strictly dance might be while out for a walk in a Penrith park.

The Countryfile star’s professional dance partner, Gorka Marquez, shared a clip of the duo on a walk – in which they wear matching jackets – and are joined by filming crew.

In the video, Helen playfully says: “Look at the state of us in matching jackets,” while Gorka quips that the accidental co-ordination was without the pair even talking about it.

He then goes on to joke that the day is so nice they should stay out and practice a samba in the park and asks Helen to show off her samba walk. The star can be seen in the video strutting forward and grinning as Gorka cheers her on.

Despite the fact the duo have hinted their next dance is a samba, the BBC has yet to officially confirm it.

Following last week’s success landing them second on the leader board with a score of 39, the pair have already returned to rehearsals ahead of Saturday.

The star is still one of the top favourites to win the glitterball trophy this year, with bookies odds currently at 1/6.

Speaking in her weekly column for The Telegraph, Helen reflected on her Strictly journey so far and said: “I came into this wanting my family to see me having fun. This was important for me, and they’re now they’re starting to see the real Helen again, which means the world coming from the people I love.

“There’s so many elements of this (dare I say the J word?) journey that have taken me time to get used to, but I’m trying to lean into it and embrace it all. I love the hair and make-up and costumes, but it’s as different for me as night and day. It reminds me of trying on my mum’s high heels when I was a kid and would totter about, but I feel like I’m finding my feet now.”

The star only has to get through one more week before she makes it to the competition’s quarter final.
