Experts will be on hand to bust the myths about refugees and asylum seekers at a meeting in Carlisle on Saturday.
Carlisle Refugee Action Group has arranged the event, at the city’s Quaker Meeting House on Fisher Street between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
Speakers will include Rae McGrath, international humanitarian expert, Nobel Peace Prize co-laureate, and patron of Carlisle One World Centre, and James Cartwright, Chair of Carlisle Refugee Action Group.
All are welcome to attend, especially those new to the group’s work of helping people seeking sanctuary in Carlisle.
