Barrow-born all-rounder Liam Livingstone has had to pull out of England’s tour of Pakistan through injury.
The former Furness and Cumberland player has featured regularly in the England T20 squad but was making his debut in the First Test which was reaching an exciting conclusion today.
Livingstone, 29, jarred his right knee while fielding on the second day in Rawalpindi and although he batted in England’s second innings was not able to take the field for Pakistan’s response.
He scored seven not out in that second innings after contributing nine in the first.
Livingstone is to fly home tomorrow but England have not yet announced whether to call up a replacement.
The second Test in the three-match series starts in Multan on Friday.
