Over 50 businesses and organisations have signed up for the ninth Carlisle Skills Fair.

The fair, set to take place on Thursday, January 26 between 2pm and 6.30pm at Carlisle College, has been organised by city MP John Stevenson.

Sponsors of the annual event include Center Parcs, the Cumberland Building Society and Persimmon.

Inspira, Carlisle College, Carlisle City Council, Cumbria County Council, The Edge, Job Centre Plus Carlisle, Lakes College, University of Cumbria, ICAEW and Gen2, JTL,  PHX, JTL and Systems People training providers.

John said: “I am always grateful to local businesses and organisations for the huge amount of support for the Carlisle Skills Fair. Our 2023 skills fair will see more employers and training providers attending than ever before and it’s still not too late to sign up for a place.

For young people, and those looking to return to work or change careers this is the place to have informal conversations with local experts who can give good quality advice and guidance on the employment and training options available in the Carlisle area, now and in the future.”
