A man in his 80s has died following a collision on the A595.
Emergency services were called at 4.45pm to the Orton Grange roundabout.
The collision involved a Citroen van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, from the Wigton area, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cumbria police are requesting that anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, or anyone who has any information which may assist with the investigation, makes contact.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
