Drivers are urged to take care as plunging temperatures continue to grip Cumbria.
Austhwaite Brow in Eskdale is currently impassable due to snow and the Muncaster area has also suffered from high levels of snow – although police said this has now been cleared and the A595 is passable.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Take extra care while traveling and be sure that you clear all your windows of ice and snow before setting off. If you do need to go out, allow extra time for your journey and where possible stick to treated main roads.”
