Cumbria’s Helen Skelton will vie for the prestigious glitterball trophy at the weekend as she made it through to the final of Strictly Come Dancing.
And she is in with a chance of victory as Helen and her dance partner Gorka Marquez have had their odds for winning dramatically slashed.
It was a tense moment in the results show as Helen and Gorka were left to find out if they had made it to the final until the last moment – up against Will Mellor and Nancy Xu to find out who would be in the dance off.
Helen said she was overwhelmed, not just by the votes from the public keeping them in, but the messages the pair had received. “If anyone has taken one moment of our joy from any of our dances, then we’ve done our jobs.”
Will and Nancy were eliminated from the competition.
