A donkey who had fallen over was rescued by South Cumbrian firefighters.
Crews from Barrow Fire Station and Ulverston Blue Light Hub were called yesterday morning, December 22, after Jasper fell and could not get back up.
Three fire engines attended Ann Street in Dalton-in-Furness at around 9.20am.
A social media post from Ulverston Blue Light Hub said: “Christmas is saved! We rescued little donkey.
“Jasper had fallen and could not get up on his own, with a little help from firefighters he was soon on his feet and back at the stable waiting for baby Jesus and the three wise men.”
Firefighters were on the scene for about an hour and 10 minutes.
