A man has been arrested after reports that a man was in possession of a knife in public in Longtown.
The incident happened in the area of Netherby Road at about 3.30pm on January 15.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
The arrested man, in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and making threats to kill. He was bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers would like to hear from any witnesses.
