Workington RNLI rescued three people stranded after their fishing vessel broke down off the west coast.
In Workington RNLI’s first call out of 2023, the crew of the inshore lifeboat John F Mortimer were called by Belfast Coastguard at about 2pm today, Friday, January 20
The day fishing vessel had suffered engine failure and three people were stranded onboard.
The inshore lifeboat towed the vessel back to Whitehaven and were met by Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team. Workington RNLI volunteers returned to the station at 4.30pm.
